| I could really use everyone's prayers right now. I had to resign from my job and I have been spending countless hours on the computer and phone trying to find a job. I had an interview with a church last week about a youth director position and I have an interview with a school in Chesnee on Monday.

So,
I am supposed to be on Summer Break. Yeah, right. Besides having to go
to grad school, I have 10 workshops to attend for the school district I
work for in July and I have one that I am in now that meets for 3 hours
twice a week for the rest of the month. The only break I have had was
when I was at Fan Fair and that definitely was not restful. Also next
week I have to drive an hour every day to Southern Wesleyan University
for a 7:30 class that ends at 4:30 and then I have to drive an hour
back home to another class that starts at 5:00. Not sure how I am going
to work that one out. | | |
| Please check out the MySpace page, Pray for Kaleb. It tells the true story of a baby in Tampa, FL who is a victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome and is fighting for his life. He was not shaken by his parents. It has been all over the news in Tampa, FL. A friend who lives there told me about the incident. This young family needs all the prayers we can give them.

| I know that all of you are feeling the money crunch of the extreme gas prices. I can truly say that I feel your pain. My fuel costs have been going up each week to the point that I must now make a major decision. I love the school I teach at and the enormous classroom I have in a brand new building but, going to and from work each week is a massive 300 miles. Can you imagine driving every Monday-Friday a distance equivalent to driving to Nashville from Taylors, SC. I am serious, Nashville is 364 miles from where I live. I have sent my resume to a school that is 3 1/2 miles from where I live and I have an interview there on Monday. It too is a new school but I found out today that the classroom is very small and I will be the only resource teacher in a school of a little over 400 students. I have been one of 5 resource teachers since I graduated in a school of 1,600. There is one other special education class in the school and it is a self-contained class. I hope all of you will keep me in your thoughts on Monday and in your prayers that I am making the right decision.

| The past two weeks have brought about many changes in my life. I have started grad school, K got her driver's license, I am almost at the end of my first year of teaching, and I found out that I may be able to move to the state that I have considered home all of my life a year sooner than I thought. Everyone keep me in your prayers, because I think the bankruptcy court is going to charge off my student loan. When I got my summary of the accounts to be charged off in my bankruptcy case, my student loan was listed. If that happens I won't have to teach in SC for 3 years before I can move, I can move as soon as the first of July next year.
